GSBF — Julia Greely & Pope Francis Eco-Green School
The first Catholic eco-green nursery & primary school in Cameroon, uniting faith, ecology and academic excellence in Douala.
Our Identity
Not only a school, but a community of values
GSBF — Julia Greely & Pope Francis Eco-Green School is more than an academic institution. We are a vibrant bilingual community (French and English, 50/50) committed to raising children who are brilliant, compassionate and responsible stewards of Creation.
Rooted in Catholic spirituality and inspired by the ecological call of Pope Francis, our school embodies the values of faith, respect, ecology and innovation. Here, learning is not confined to classrooms: it flows into gardens, digital labs, and family life, ensuring children grow in knowledge, faith and care for the planet.
Inspired beginnings
A vision born from faith and responsibility
GSBF was founded with the conviction that every child deserves access to quality education that nurtures the mind, heart and soul. By combining Montessori methods, eco-spiritual practices and bilingual education, the founders sought to create a new model of learning for Cameroon and beyond.
“We believe education must not only teach children to read and count, but also to love, to protect, and to transform their communities.”
